A Personal Injury Lawyer Based in Downtown Summerlin
The Sookiassian Firm has one office, in Downtown Summerlin at 1980 Festival Plaza Dr, Suite 460, Las Vegas, NV 89135. It is close to where the 215 Beltway meets Sahara Ave and Charleston Blvd, and most Summerlin villages are a short drive away. If you live or work on the west side of the valley, you can meet with us in person without driving across town.
If it's hard to get to the office while you recover, you can also talk with us by phone or video. The office is open Monday through Sunday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
In a free consultation, we review what happened, your injuries and the insurance involved, and your options under Nevada law, and answer your questions about the process. There is no obligation to hire the firm. If you hire us, we work to pursue the full compensation the law allows. We review every settlement offer with you before you decide.
Where Summerlin Accidents Happen
Summerlin is a planned community of residential villages, parks, and trails. Some of the busiest roads on the west side of the valley also run through it. Different parts of Summerlin tend to produce different kinds of crashes and injuries.
The main roads. The 215 Beltway, Summerlin Parkway, and the Charleston Blvd and Sahara Ave corridors carry most of the traffic in and out of Summerlin. Merging, sudden slowdowns, and turning traffic along these roads can lead to crashes.
Downtown Summerlin. Traffic can be heavy around the shops, restaurants, and offices near Festival Plaza Dr, Town Center Dr, and Sahara Ave. Pedestrians, drivers, rideshare vehicles, and delivery vehicles all share parking garages, crosswalks, and pickup areas. With this much retail activity, falls in stores, restaurants, and parking areas also happen (see falls at Summerlin businesses). If you're hurt here, note the garage name and the nearest entrance or crosswalk too, so the exact spot can be found later.
Red Rock and the western edge. West of the 215, Charleston Blvd (SR 159) continues toward Red Rock Canyon. Visitors who don't know the road share it with cyclists, tour vehicles, and residents. Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa, on W Charleston Blvd near the 215, also draws visitor and rideshare traffic.
Neighborhood streets. Rampart Blvd, Hualapai Way, Town Center Dr, and Far Hills Ave connect the villages. These roads carry school-zone traffic, cyclists, dog walkers, and people at trail crossings, along with construction traffic serving newer neighborhoods on Summerlin's west edge. Sun City Summerlin, an age-restricted (55+) community, is part of this mix, so watch for people walking and biking on its local streets.

How Nevada Law Applies to a Summerlin Injury Claim
Deadlines
In Nevada, you generally have two years from the date of the injury to file a personal injury lawsuit (NRS 11.190(4)(e)). Some claims have different or additional requirements, so it's best to talk to a lawyer early.
If You Were Partly at Fault
You can recover compensation even if you were partially at fault — as long as your share of fault is 50 percent or less. Your recovery will be reduced by your percentage of fault. Learn more in our guide to comparative negligence in Nevada.
When the Other Driver Has Little or No Insurance
Under NRS 687B.145(2), Nevada auto insurers must offer uninsured and underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) coverage, and under NRS 690B.020, uninsured motorist coverage is included in a policy unless the policyholder rejects it in writing. If you have this coverage, your own policy may help cover losses the other driver's insurance does not. Our page on UM, UIM and hit-and-run claims explains more.
Claims Involving Government Entities
Claims against government entities are subject to special procedural rules and notice requirements under Nevada law.
To understand what a claim can include, see our guide to personal injury damages in Nevada.

What to Do After an Accident in Summerlin
- Call 911 and get medical care, even if you feel okay. Some injuries show up hours or days later.
- Write down the police report or event number, and note which agency responded.
- Photograph the vehicles, the scene, the nearest cross street, and your injuries. In Downtown Summerlin or a shopping center, note the store name or garage level.
- Get names and phone numbers of witnesses. Ask nearby businesses, the garage, or the property manager whether they have video, and ask them to save it in writing, because footage can be overwritten.
- Notify your own insurance company, and find a copy of your policy.
- Be careful about giving a recorded statement to the other driver's insurance company before you understand your rights.
- Keep all medical records, bills, and proof of missed work.
Getting the crash report. Crashes on Summerlin streets are usually handled by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), while crashes on highways, including the 215 Beltway, may be handled by the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP). Request the report from the agency that responded. If you hire us, we can request the report for you.
